POSTPONEMENT FAQ

1. Why is the 2021 Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards Ceremony postponed?

A major component of the Zayed Sustainability Prize is the physical Awards Ceremony. Aside from the prizegiving itself, the Awards Ceremony delivers significant networking and knowledge exchange opportunities which the Zayed Sustainability Prize represents to its worldwide stakeholders.

Postponing the 2021 Awards ceremony enables all international participants to focus on their safety and wellbeing while navigating the impact and implications of COVID-19, with special consideration to the unpredictable global climate including travel restrictions.

The Zayed Sustainability Prize values and recognises all efforts and reassures applicants to the 2021 awards cycle that their entries will be automatically considered for the 2022 cycle.

Yes, your application can be amended.

You will be able to update your application after the opening of the next submissions cycle and as a previous applicant, you will be advised when the new submission cycle starts. Once you have received this notification you will be able to access your submission, using your existing Zayed Sustainability Prize credentials.

The process for the Prize remains unchanged. The Prize uses dedicated third-party experts to comprehensively research and analyse all submissions before they are reviewed by the Selection Committee. Following this, submissions are evaluated by the Jury, who ultimately select the winners in each category.
